Sarah
Featuring Sarah
The Story
Sarah, whose name was first Sarai, traveled beside Abraham and shared the long wait for God's promise. For many years she had no child, and that sorrow sat heavily in her heart. Then three visitors came near Abraham's tent on a hot day, and Sarah listened from the doorway as they said she would have a son. She laughed quietly because she and Abraham were very old, and the promise seemed impossible. Yet God reminded her that nothing is too hard for Him. In time Sarah held baby Isaac in her arms and felt the joy she had once thought would never come. Her story teaches that God remembers His promises, even when the waiting feels long.
Moral of the Story
With faith in God, even the impossible can become possible.
