Ruth & Naomi
Featuring Ruth & Naomi
The Story
Naomi left Bethlehem with her family during a famine, but in Moab she lost her husband and later both of her sons. Grief wrapped around her like a heavy cloak as she prepared to return home with empty hands. Ruth, her Moabite daughter-in-law, refused to leave her and spoke words of deep loyalty, promising that Naomi's people and God would be hers too. Back in Bethlehem, Ruth gleaned in the fields to gather grain, and the dry stalks whispered around her as she worked from morning until evening. God guided her to the field of Boaz, a kind relative who made sure she was protected and provided for. In time Ruth married Boaz, and Naomi held a grandson in her arms. Their story is one of loyalty, kindness, and God's quiet redemption.
Moral of the Story
Loyalty, kindness, and trusting in God can lead to great blessings and new beginnings.
