Pharaoh

Featuring Pharaoh

The Story

Pharaoh was the powerful king of Egypt, but he used his power to oppress the Israelites and made their lives bitter with hard labor. When Moses and Aaron came to ask for their freedom, Pharaoh's heart stayed hard. One plague after another struck the land: water turned to blood, frogs covered the houses, darkness filled the sky, and fear spread through the nation. Still Pharaoh kept resisting until the final plague broke Egypt's pride and the Israelites were allowed to leave. Even then he changed his mind and chased them with chariots to the edge of the sea. There God opened a path for His people through the water, while Pharaoh's army was swallowed when the waters returned. Pharaoh's story is a warning that stubborn pride can blind a person even after many chances to repent.

Moral of the Story

Stubbornness and refusing to listen to God can lead to trouble, but trusting God brings freedom and protection.
