The Story

Miriam was the brave older sister who watched over baby Moses when he floated in a basket along the river reeds. She stood nearby with quick thinking and courage, then ran to offer a Hebrew nurse after Pharaoh's daughter found him. Years later Miriam stood on the far side of the Red Sea with a tambourine in her hand as the people celebrated God's rescue from Egypt. Music, dancing, and joyful singing filled the air while she led the women in praise. Yet Miriam also had a moment when pride and criticism led her to speak against Moses. God disciplined her, and she learned humility before being restored. Her story holds both bravery and correction, showing that God values praise, courage, and humble hearts.

Moral of the Story

We should honor and respect God's leaders, and when we make mistakes, we can trust that God will forgive and teach us.
