Lot
Featuring Lot
The Story
Lot traveled with Abraham and chose to live near the rich fields around Sodom, even though the people there were wicked. When two angels came to the city, Lot welcomed them into his home and hurried to protect them. That night the warning became clear: Sodom would be destroyed, and Lot had to flee at once. At dawn the angels led Lot, his wife, and his daughters out of the city while smoke and fire rose behind them. They were told not to look back, but Lot's wife turned and became a pillar of salt. Lot escaped to safety in the hill country, shaken by all he had seen. His story is a reminder that God's rescue is real, and that we must not cling to the very things He is calling us to leave behind.
Moral of the Story
It's important to listen to God and follow His guidance, even when it's hard, and not to look back at past mistakes.
