Job

The Story

Job was a man of integrity who feared God, yet in a short time he lost his livestock, his servants, and even his children. As if that grief were not enough, painful sores covered his body, and he sat in ashes scraping his skin with broken pottery. Friends came to comfort him, but their words often made his suffering feel heavier because they assumed he must have done something wrong. Job asked hard questions and poured out his sorrow honestly, yet he would not let go of God. At last the Lord answered from the whirlwind, reminding Job that divine wisdom is far greater than human understanding. Job humbled himself, prayed for his friends, and later saw God restore much of what had been lost. His story teaches deep trust when answers are not easy.

Moral of the Story
