Jeremiah

Featuring Jeremiah

The Story

Jeremiah was still young when God called him to be a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah felt small and unready, but God touched his mouth and promised to put His words there. From then on Jeremiah had to speak difficult messages about sin, coming judgment, and the need to return to the Lord. Many people did not want to hear him, and his path was filled with rejection, tears, and loneliness. Yet Jeremiah could not keep silent, because God's word burned in his heart like fire. Even while warning of exile, he also proclaimed hope, speaking of a day when God would make a new covenant with His people. Jeremiah's life shows brave faithfulness when truth is costly.

Moral of the Story

With God's help, we can be brave and share the truth, even when it's difficult.
