Card #40

Isaiah

Featuring Isaiah

The Story

Isaiah's ministry began with a breathtaking vision of the Lord seated high and lifted up, while the temple shook and seraphim cried out that God is holy. Faced with such glory, Isaiah felt undone and confessed his uncleanness. Then one of the seraphim touched his lips with a burning coal from the altar as a sign that his guilt was taken away. When God asked whom He should send, Isaiah answered with willing courage. He spoke hard truths to kings and people who often refused to listen, yet his words were also filled with hope. Isaiah foretold a coming light, a child who would reign in peace, and a servant who would suffer to bear the sins of many. His story joins awe, obedience, warning, and deep promise.
