The Story
Isaac was the long-awaited son God promised to Abraham and Sarah, so his very life reminded his family that God keeps His word. As a boy, Isaac walked with Abraham up a mountain for a sacrifice, carrying the wood while the cool morning air brushed his face. When he asked where the lamb was, Abraham answered that God would provide. At the top of the mountain Abraham prepared the altar, but God stopped him before any harm came to Isaac. A ram caught in a thicket became the sacrifice instead. Isaac learned that trust in God can be steady even in confusing moments. His story begins with promise, protection, and the quiet faith of a son who walked beside his father.
Moral of the Story
Trusting and obeying God shows faith, and God always provides what is needed.
