Goliath

Featuring Goliath

The Story

Goliath came out from the Philistine camp as a giant champion wrapped in bronze armor that clanged with every heavy step. Day after day his booming challenge rolled across the valley as he mocked Israel and defied the living God. The soldiers around Saul trembled, because Goliath's spear was huge and his strength seemed impossible to match. Then young David arrived with food for his brothers and was troubled to hear the giant's proud words. David refused Saul's armor and stepped forward with a sling, five smooth stones, and confidence in the Lord. One stone flew straight and struck Goliath on the forehead, and the giant crashed to the ground. Goliath's defeat became the moment everyone saw that God's power is greater than the strongest enemy.

Moral of the Story

With faith in God, even the smallest person can overcome big challenges.
