The Story

Esther was a young Jewish woman who had lost her parents and was raised by her cousin Mordecai. When she was taken into the king's palace, she later became queen, though she kept her identity quiet for a time. Then Haman's cruel plan put her people in terrible danger. Esther knew approaching the king without an invitation could cost her life, yet after prayer and fasting she chose courage over safety. The rustle of her royal robes must have sounded very loud as she stepped into the court and waited to see whether the king would extend his golden scepter. He welcomed her, and through wisdom, patience, and brave words she exposed Haman's evil plan. Esther's story shows how God can place someone exactly where they are needed for the rescue of others.

Moral of the Story

God can use anyone, no matter how small or ordinary they may seem, to do great things, especially when they are brave and trust in Him.
