Adam & Eve

Featuring Adam & Eve

The Story

God placed Adam in the garden of Eden to care for it, and He made Eve to be his companion so they would not be alone. The garden was full of bright trees, clear rivers, and fruit that smelled sweet in the warm air. God gave them every tree to enjoy except one, warning them not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then the serpent spoke tricky words to Eve and made disobedience sound harmless. Eve ate the fruit and gave some to Adam, and right away they knew they had sinned and tried to hide from God. God called to them, explained the sadness their choice had brought, and made them leave the garden. Even in judgment, God cared for them and promised that evil would not win forever.

Moral of the Story

Making good choices is important, and actions have consequences. It's also a reminder to listen to the right advice and to take responsibility.
