Aaron

Featuring Aaron

The Story

Aaron was Moses' older brother, and God chose him to stand beside Moses when they faced Pharaoh. Because Moses felt unsure about speaking, Aaron became his helper and spokesman. Together they announced God's command to let Israel go, and Aaron even threw down his staff before Pharaoh, where it became a serpent. Later God set Aaron apart to serve as high priest, clothing him in special garments for holy work. When some people questioned whether Aaron was truly chosen, each tribal leader placed a staff before the Lord overnight. By morning Aaron's staff had sprouted buds, blossoms, and almonds, a quiet but powerful sign of God's choice. Aaron's story shows that God equips people for service and confirms the work He gives them to do.

Moral of the Story

God chooses and equips the right people for His work, and we should trust His decisions.
